Engineering Manager (2658-046)

Brandt is currently seeking an Engineering Manager for our Truck Rigging and Vehicle Assembly Division in our Nisku, AB location. The successful candidate will have 10 years Engineering experience associated with the completion, modification, and alteration of truck vehicles including working knowledge of Oilfield platform, Crane, Logging, Aggregate, Plough, Tank, and other body installations. Professional Engineer status, registration with Transport Canada, and ASME experience preferred. Proven track record of managing complex developments and multi-discipline staff while exercising sound business acumen a must. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Direct Product development at initial design phase including: * Design concept * Regulatory compliance * Testing methodology. 2. Direct and guide standardized approach to Design of assigned new products focusing on Performance of product, Design for Manufacturability, Serviceability, Reliability, Affordability, etc. 3. Work within design teams on products from concept through prototype testing to ensure design meets targets. 4. Ensure appropriate approach to design activity is followed. 5. Field research as required. Business travel will be an occasional requirement. 6. Mentor design engineers and technologists and recommend training and process improvement where necessary. 7. Plan resources and schedule work effectively within the Department; maintain schedule adherence. 8. Design and Development budgeting, scheduling, and related planning Activities.
