$35 · Field Technician

Job Title: Field Technician Rate: $35/hr Location: Edmonton Short Term Contract, expected May 2nd-20th (weather permitting). Position Overview: Installation of our state-of-the-art moisture detection systems for building envelopes and roofing systems. On the job training will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Installation of system sensors including splicing and pulling low voltage cables Complete daily field reports Communicate with project manager and general contractors on site Essential Knowledge & Skills: Construction industry experience Experience with electrical low voltage systems and diagnostic tools Ability to read and understand basic blueprints Performance Competencies: Effective analytical, written, oral and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, with strong work ethic and ability to work with limited supervision Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines Comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather Assets: Must have reliable vehicle (Project located near Royal Alexandra Hospital ) Experience with building construction industry, specific to roof assemblies and building envelopes Required Certifications: WHMIS Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Tools Required: Linesman pliers Tape measure Wire strippers (22AWG)
