Position: FLAGGER Responsibilities: * Understand site-specific instructions prior to directing traffic. * Review the work site on a daily basis and consult with Supervisor to understand work being conducted, and any potential hazards. * Set up, relocate, and disassemble traffic control signage as needed * Protect workers and the public by properly directing traffic * Assist with the setup and maintenance of project signage and barricades, * Communicate effectively with other traffic control workers using established signals and communication equipment * Assist TBL trucks in accessing and exiting work sites safely * Maintain attentiveness at all times * Remove or cover all traffic control signage at end of the day or when traffic control is complete * Must ensure a firm understanding of and comply with the principles of the company’s Health and Safety Policies * All applicants must be willing to travel to the required job sites and work away from home * Stay away from home for an extended period of time is required * Work 7 days a week is required and hours per day can be 12 or more depending on the daily site work activities * Must be able to stand for an extended period of time. * Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and be prepared for any type of weather throughout the day * High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions * Other duties as requireCandidates with experience and a valid Traffic Control Training Certificate will be given preference.
