Territory Sales Representative ($50,000 minimum)

About Us For over 40 years VMS Distribution has been a leader in Direct to Store distribution (DSD) to gas stations & C-Stores, pharmacies, hardware stores and electronic stores. While our roots were (and still are) in the Entertainment Industry, becoming one of Canada's largest music distributors, we expanded our product lines to include tech & cell phone accessories, headwear and gloves, tobacco accessories, drink-ware and general merchandise. Job Description We are searching for a new team member to be the face of our company for our Northern Alberta and Western Saskatchewan territory. This involves physically servicing the accounts, meeting with the manager(s) or owner(s) to discuss current sales programs and promoting new products. While the initial focus will be on maintaining and servicing our current customers, account development is an integral part of the position. While not a "9-5" job it is a Monday to Friday full time position and great for someone with excellent time management skills. We will provide you a guideline and schedule for the initial training period. However, once that has been mastered you are free to manage yourself to maximize your sales potential. Given the area of this territory overnight travel is required, on average 8-12 nights/month. Salary: Base + Commission + Business Development Incentives Company vehicle (2017 Ford Transit) and expense allowance provided Extended vacation days to start Independent work environment with minimal managerial supervision Strong team environment and committed support from head office. Qualifications and Skills Self motivated and require little direct supervision Team first attitude and willing to "do what it takes" to get the job done Comfortable talking to and meeting new people Strong organizational skills and submit reports and paperwork on time Valid driver's license Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs (22 kg) Travel overnight during the week is mandatory (up to 3 nights/week) Previous outside sales or route sales experience is preferred Please email cover letter and resume or fax to (250) 652-8604.
