This is a 1930/40's Spalding J5-V pigskin leather Football , in very good condition and with original bladder that keeps excellent air pressure after all this time . The lacing is firm , and below it is the stamped Spalding circle logo with words Official intercollegiate football and the traditional Spalding stitching pattern of those times around the lacing . The leather is in amazing shape considering it's vintage ~ and the panels both above and below the logo show faint signs of either team game on that particular day , or the colleges involved , This embossing appears to be professionally done . Below and to the right of the lacing are stamped the words ' Lock Stitched ' ~ which could be a clue to dating the ball's time of manufacture more accurately . Whichever time period it comes from this ball is still in fine game playing shape , and these types are hard to find and highly sought after by collectors of football memorabilia ~ where they typically sell on auctions in the U.S. for high values . This ball is now offered for $100.00, plus shipping charges from British Columbia . 250-382-8185 , or reply here if interested please .
