These little hand crank chargers came out in 2001 as a joint project between a company called FreeCharge and Motorola. The idea was that their would be a variety of heads to fit different phones which could be mounted on this charger to provide 8 to 10 minutes of extra Ni-NM battery power with 45 seconds of cranking. As I cannot find much dating after 2001 on the www, it appears the idea didn't catch on.
This unit is unused and ready for creative charging applications.
