Here's my bit of a problem. I have a few pairs of very high efficiency speakers (among others - Klipsch Cornwall II, IMF-TLS80, Coral Beta 8, Pioneer CS-77, Tannoy HPD-298A).
These require only quite low powered amplification (range of 10-30 watts).
Most of the amps that I have here at the moment are pretty much anywhere from 70 through 250 watts per channel (Nikko NA-89-, Denon POA-1500, Bryston 4B - for example)
That's just out and out overkill on a speaker that sounds its best with low power.
SO - what I am on the prowl for is some low-power amplification, integrated or straight 2channel power, solid state or tube, preferably vintage from the 60s, 70s and early 80s (because "vintage is what I like best).
If your unit isn't in working condition that may not be of any issue. I can fix some of these and know guys who can if I can't!
If you have something that might fit within those parameters (10-40wpc) would you please consider contacting me (with a make, model and price)?
I would also be more than pleased to consider trades for some other part of my collection
Much Appreciated!
